Denfield have had the pleasure of working with Hendy Group for several years on many different events and in 2019 we hosted their first ever Group awards evening. Following the success of the event and the success of Hendy Group, despite the hiatus due to the pandemic, we were challenged to create an event that was even ‘bigger and better’. The brief heavily focussed on showcasing the growth of Hendy which we reflected in the event through a major growth in production, attendance, and impact. 

In 2023, the Bournemouth International Centre was transformed into a big top for The Hendy Awards which was the largest event that Denfield have ever produced. 

A 48-hour build culminated in an epic-scale event – a single night of celebration and recognition at the ‘Cirque Du Hendy’ Group Awards. The awards adopted a theatre-style format, where delegates were greeted with world-class entertainment from the West End cast of The Greatest Showman.  

Followed by an extravagant evening, with circus acts, street food stalls and a live performance from Rick Parfitt Jr, everyone put on their dancing shoes and partied the night away. Ten months of preparation, dedication, skilled organisation, and lots of risk assessments – it really was the greatest show. With 1,300 Hendy colleagues in attendance, there’s only room for bigger and better, and Denfield and Hendy are already in talks about Hendy Awards for 2024 and 2025. It’s now time to get back to the drawing board and see what else we have up our sleeves…

CitNOW Group, a global market-leading provider of software for the automotive industry, tasked Denfield with event theming, production, and the delivery of CitNOW’s first group conference. The primary focus for the conference included uniting as a global team, across seven newly-acquired businesses, whilst announcing a new vision for the business and networking.

Six months in the making, CitNOW Group’s conference took place at the De Vere Beaumont Estate, for an insightful day to discuss the prospects of the company. With the majority of guests travelling internationally from over 12 x different countries, travel management played a key role in the successful delivery of the event. 

The event theme of ‘Unify’ signified the international delegation of seven recently acquired global companies coming together as one team. It was crucial that the content delivered was of a strategic level, as opposed to granular and that all guests had ample time for networking with their new colleagues in relaxed surroundings.  

With a keynote speech from Olympic gold medallist Sir Matthew Pinsent, guests were shown the power of not only teamwork, but always giving that extra 1% to achieve their goals. A celebration dinner and entertainment followed for guests to be able to continue to network throughout the evening.

Denfield have been lucky enough to host Banana Moons annual awards ceremony for 5 years running and is a milestone in the Banana Moon calendar. The brief focuses on providing recognition to the nurseries that have gone above and beyond, whilst consistently outperforming throughout the year.

Banana Moon nursery franchises are based all over the UK, so the awards act as an opportunity for all teams to network with lots of fun, food and drinks, and celebrations. Every year, the Midnight Moon Awards takes on a new theme and offers exceptional entertainment. With numerous Britain’s Got Talent act’s performing, 2022’s event saw a surprise pie in the face from hosts Dick and Dom during the all-singing, all-dancing, circus-themed spectacle: The Greatest Showmoon. 

Preparations for the next Midnight Moon Awards are well underway and, if they do say snow themselves, 2023’s event theme is going to be un-brrrr-lievable.

Arbury reached out to Denfield in 2022 to create and deliver their very first awards evening. It was a huge milestone for Arbury, as it was the first time all dealerships and head office had come together at the same time to mark a fantastic year. The brief focussed on creating that strong sense of community and coming together as one team.

Held at Edgbaston Stadium, Arbury celebrated dedication, performance, and also local community heroes, as well as the positive team culture, which was highlighted throughout the event. And, with the help of host Colin Murray, the awards were filled with support and laughter.  

A total of 220 Arbury colleagues were in attendance, and the evening saw a range of entertainment, from fire breathers to singing waiters. The event was a huge success, and the impact it has had internally at Arbury was, in the words of the client, ‘totally overwhelming’. So much so that next year’s event is already in the diary, and we are already talking about how we can make it even bigger and better. We can’t wait to do it all again!
